This little girl will brighten up any home with her sweet, friendly little smile. She is a lovely, jolly little girl. Loves life to the full. She really enjoys going out to collect flowers in the morning, with her little straw hat on her head.
Sally has been created using natural materials. She has been filled with wool. Her facial features have been carefully shaped using needle felting techniques. For he skin I used Witte Engel Doll Jersey.
Her pretty blond hair has been created using soft Angora Mohair, that was made into a weft, coloured and crocheted into a wig. Her hair can be brushed gently and styled. Sally’s eyes have been carefully embroidered.
She can sit on her own, but sometimes she needs a little support.
Her little shoes were made by Ayse. A lovely lady from Turkey who has an Etsy Shop called Dolls and Shoes. You can find her shop HERE.
Ayse’s doll shoes with straps fit my 14″ dolls nicely, I highly recommend her. I am a bit of a doll shoe collector. I am having a couple of little projects to create dolls to fit the shoes I have bought.
Sally will be travelling with two dresses, a woollen jacket, underpants, shoes and a pair of socks. Her green dress was a special project. It is made using a lovely lightweight linen, which I decorated with a simple smocking technique. I have been wanting to try this out for a while. I really like it. I think there will be more dresses coming with this pattern.
Her jacket was hand knitted by me using 100% wool yarn to keep her snug and warm.
