Two days of doll-making workshop with all materials provided. We will be making a 14″ doll with traditional face,   ears, and little buttocks, knee caps, belly button.

You will learn how to make the face of your doll super cute. I will teach you to use rolling technic to fill your doll, so all the limbs are nice and smooth, not lumpy.

For the hair of the doll, we will be using Mohair Weft, which you will be making into a wig by crocheting. We will not have time during the workshop to make the wig, but I will be sending you video tutorial and the materials, so you can make it in advance, ready to put on your doll on the weekend.

If you can not crochet please let me know and I can crochet the wig for you for an additional £30. You will need to let me know in advance, as it takes a long time, so I will not be able to do it on the weekend if there are too many.

It is not necessary to have doll-making experience for this workshop(although it can be useful), but hand sewing embroidering and basic crochet skills are needed. This workshop is more suitable for people who are experienced sewers.

The full price is £290 for the workshop. All the materials are included in the price. After the workshop you will receive a tutorial and pattern for the doll we have made. The full amount is payable at the workshop. With the £50 deposit you secure your space.

Once you have payed the deposit I will get in9touch with details and skin colour and hair colour options.

On both days ( 7-8th October ) it will be from 9 am till 7 pm on Saturday, and 9am till 6pm on Sunday.  I will try to make sure that you will be going home with a ready Waldorf doll.

All of the sewing work in the two days will be hand-stitching. We will not use sewing machines. I will be presewing the body of the dolls with a sewing machine.

We will not have time to make a dress for the doll, but there will be dresses , knitted clothes and leather booties available to purchase and you will be provided with patterns for making some outfits for your doll in advance if you wish to do so.

This doll making workshop will cover, making and shaping the head of a traditional Waldorf doll. We also will be using needle felting technic to add to the features to make your doll look super cute. We will be stuffing the limbs using rolling technic, stitching the body together, crocheting hair using mohair weft and embroidering the eyes and the mouth of your doll. You can add ears to your doll, and little knees and buttocks, and belly button.

The class will be small in order to give more teaching time and support to participants.

You will need to bring your own lunch for Saturday, but refreshments will be provided.

There will be some meals offered for additional charges.
