Doll Making Workshop 12-13th October Hereford, UK

Come and join some like minded people to create something special for someone special.

A doll Making Workshop for a 13.5″ Waldorf inspired doll with hair made using Mohair Weft.

The workshop will be held at my house in Hereford/England.

You will learn how to fill the limbs using rolling technic, and we will make our dolls look super cute by adding some features using needle felting technic.
Hand sewing skills are necessary for this workshop.
We will be using running stitches and ladder stitches mainly.

The full price is £320 for the workshop.

This covers the workshop for 2 days and all the materials for making your doll. With the £100 deposit you secure your space.  The full amount is payable at the workshop. The deposit is not refundable, unless I can fill your space. If you can not crochet I can make  your wig for you for an additional £30.

Once you have secured your space I will be in touch with you about skin and hair colour options.

HERE in my Gallery you can find a couple of  albums with workshop images.

Out of stock

Two days of doll-making workshop with all materials provided. We will be making a 13.5″ doll with traditional face, however we will add some features using needle felting technic to make the face of your doll super cute. You can give your doll ears, little buttocks, knee caps and belly button. The eyes and the mouth will be embroidered.

I will teach you to use rolling technic to fill your doll, so all the limbs are nice and smooth, not lumpy. It is not an easy technic, takes siome practice, but I will teach you how to do it.

For the hair of the doll, we will be using Mohair Weft, which you will be making into a wig by crocheting. We will not have time during the workshop to make the wig, but I will be sending you video tutorial and the materials, so you can make it in advance, ready to put on your doll on the weekend.

If you can not crochet please let me know and I can crochet the wig for you for an additional £30. You will need to let me know in advance, as it takes a long time, so I will not be able to do it on the weekend if there are too many.

It is not necessary to have doll-making experience for this workshop(although it can be useful), but hand sewing embroidering and basic crochet skills are needed. This workshop is more suitable for people who are experienced sewers.

The full price is £320 for the workshop.

All the materials are included in the price. After the workshop you will receive a tutorial and pattern for the doll we have made. The full amount is payable at the workshop. With the £100 deposit you secure your space.

The deposit is unrefundable, unless I can fill your space.

Once you have payed the deposit I will get in touch with details and skin colour and hair colour options.

The workshop  both days ( 12-13th October )  will be from 9 am till 7 pm. On Sunday I will try to finish earlier, but please make sure you are available till 7pm, just in case.    I will try to make sure that you will be going home with a ready doll at the end of the weekend.

All of the sewing work in the two days will be hand-stitching. We will not use sewing machines. I will be presewing the body of the dolls with a sewing machine.

We will not have time to make a dress for the doll, but there will be dresses , knitted clothes and leather booties available to purchase and you will be provided with patterns for making some outfits for your doll in advance if you wish to do so.

The class will be small in order to give more teaching time and support to participants.

You will need to bring your own lunch for Saturday, but refreshments will be provided.

There will be some meals offered for additional charges.

Please do not hesitate to get in touch if you have a question!❤️
